About Disposing of redundant computers has always been a chore, but with the government forever introducing stringent control over what can and can't be dumped, it's becoming a nightmare.
MJS can help by removing your old PC's and recycling the components either by reusing them* or separating them into categories of material (i.e. electronic components, metals, plastics) and weighing in the components at a depot suitably equipped to recover and reuse the base materials. This is how we cover our costs, we don't charge you (unless you request a pick-up from your office, then the charge may be as little as £1.00 per machine)!
In a world where recycling is becoming more important, it will be nice to assure share holders and customers that you are being 'Green' and your redundant computers aren't just filling another hole in the ground.
Your data
Data saved to your hard drive remains on the drive after it is deleted, sent to the Recycle Bin, or even after the drive is reformatted or repartitioned. Current data recovery products and services could recover confidential data eliminated by these methods. The data still remains on the media, only the pathways to the data are deleted. Using recognised software which actually overwrites all of the data on your hard drive so you can feel confident that sensitive information is permanently eliminated. Because of the time involved with destroying date, we have to make a small charge. Also available at a small extra charge is the certification, by individual drive, confirming data erasure. The resale of equipment into the second-hand marketplace with complete anonymity of the previous owner. This includes removal of all labels, asset tags and even etching.
Your Software When the data is destroyed, so is all installed software, this leaves you free of worries about your software licence being misused elsewhere.
Collection We can arrange for collection of your machines but will have to make a charge to cover costs. Please contact us to find out whether this will be possible in your case - it depends on how far away you are and what you want to have removed.
The cost of computers disposal Did you know that in a recent report from consultants, the Gartner Group, the true cost of disposing of an unwanted PC was reported to be up to £150 per PC?
